Quantitative Analysis of Virus DNA in the Serum of HBV Carrier Population

Abstract

|
30 showed HBsAg(+) and HBeAb(+) and 30 with HBsAg(+) and HBeAg(+) were selected among the serum of 40 relatively healthy Korean male hepatitis B virus carriers and general liver function test was done against them and HBV-DNA in serum was measured. As the result of general liver function test, comparatively normal value was showed in all cases, but a significant difference was showed in HBV-DNA content as average value 31.03±5.3 pg/l of HBV-DNA in the case of HBsAg(+) and HBeAg(+) and the case of HBsAg(+) and HBeAb(+) showed average value 16.88± 2.55 pg/l (P<0.05).
